If the crystal does get wet, one should wipe crystal and base off with a towel and turn the lamp on or light the candle, so the warmth of the light dries it. In exceptionally humid or wet weather conditions, the lamp should be left on as much as possible. If the lamp or candleholder is not in use, one should wrap the crystal in plastic to prevent moisture absorption.
